2011 was truly an amazing remarkable year for me. There are many up's and down's in but this year turn out smoothly as i get almost all my things in my way. Probably i was compensated by God for a tough and difficult 2010. This year had been significant in some ways. I had promoted to poly, picked up a scrap-booking hobby, discovered my talent for card-making, had my very first photo shoot, achieved my dream job at Papermarket, had once experienced true love, won 3rd place for POL-ITE, forged many new friendships and found a new loving clique which is my Athletics team.

In this very short year, i had been tested in many ways to make me grow even mature and had experienced things i have not been through in 2010. It had even changed many perspectives towards life. I must say this year is more relaxing than last year. Though this year i have unexpectedly end it on a not very good note but I'm gonna move on and start afresh with a brand new year coming up!
Special thanks to those who have made impact in my life. To my guardian angel, Jing, who always miraculously appear there for me whenever any major thing happen to me. To Encheng who is a good bro who taught to be punctual. To my dad who was so comforting when i was heartbroken. To whoever out there who has make a difference in Jacklyn's life.

Hopefully 2012 will be an smooth-sailing, achievable and fun-exciting year! :)

Christmas Eve and Day(Late Post)

Merry Christmas to all folks! :)

On the eve of Christmas, we went to town to shop for Christmas gifts for each other #fail and this was the-dont-know-how-many-times to town this week. Aftermath, we went to Bugis then returned home and i packed my stuff and went to Jing house to sleepover and we cooked ourselves a Christmas meal! We started cooking at around 11pm and we were super duper exhausted after all the cooking and washing! The most epic part was we don't have a opener to open our campbell soup so we google it to find out and we succeed. Yippee! ^_^

Jing got me a Hello Kitty polaroid film! :D

Today was a relaxing day, i like.

Awaken by my bestie's call at late noon and catch Supernatural Season 2. Was kinda dreaded by the idea that tomorrow is starting school bec i'm kinda used to the 3am-sleep-and-1pm-wake-up routine :(so i went to play with my neighbour's kid just next door to calm my nerves. HAHA. And here, the above picture is Pristine, 4 years old. Actually today i was suppose to meet up my sec sch clique for zoo trip or meet up my poly track friend to bake but in the end, all i did today was to SLACK. Good job. I did well :)

A teenage girl about 17 had gone to visit some friends one evening and time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the past year. She ended up staying longer than planned, and had to walk home alone. She wasn't afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away. As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Diane asked God to keep her safe from harm and danger. When she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, she decided to take it. However, halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he was waiting for her. She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for God's protection. Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped round her, she felt as though someone was walking with her. When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safely. The following day, she read in the newspaper that a young girl had been raped in the same alley just twenty minutes after she had been there. Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and the fact that it could have been her, she began to weep. Thanking the Lord for her safety and to help this young woman, she decided to go to the police station. She felt she could recognize the man, so she told them her story. The police asked her if she would be willing to look at a lineup to see if she could identify him. She agreed and immediately pointed out the man she had seen in the alley the night before. When the man was told he had been identified, he immediately broke down and confessed. The officer thanked Diane for her bravery and asked if there was anything they could do for her. She asked if they would ask the man one question. Diane was curious as to why he had not attacked her. When the policeman asked him, he answered, "Because she wasn't alone. She had two tall men walking on either side of her." Amazingly, whether you believe or not, you're never alone. Did you know that 98% of teenagers will not stand up for God? Repost this as if you truly believe in God. PS: God is always there in your heart and loves you no matter what and if you stand up for him he will stand up for you. I bet 93% of the people that read this wont repost this.

I got to know Luke Threadaway after catching the movie, Attack The Block and i really thinks he's super charismatic and handsome so i googled it and found out that he have a twin brother which makes it more adorable. I really like twins because i find them interesting. How nice to have a twin brother or sister to rely on right? And how cool to have someone that look like you. Hopefully next time i would give birth to a pair of twins myself! HAHA.

Okay, i was lost during this week and i really find this place interestingly beautiful. Especially some of the vintage shophouses i have come across. This place is at secluded Eunos. Must take bus 155 to get in there. And i was super late for work that day. About 4 hours late. Oh gosh, record-breaking.

Then after work went to meet Clara for dinner at Orchard. I haven't seen her for 1 month! Miss her truckloads! ^^

We were chatting in one of the swings in the middle of Orchard Road. It was a great catch-up! :)

Mooncake Festival

Went bugis to hunt down for my high heels for this saturday's wedding matrimony. Bought one black platform shoe and a pair of Topshop maroon red socks. :) Bestie was a super good companion! She accompanied me to wherever I wanna go! Appreciate her for being so easy-going :) After shopping, we went to Hoover Park at Bukit Timah which was once where i grew up at. Given that today was Mid-Autumn Festival, we played candles and sparkles! :) We lack the ambience because we didn't eat mooncake and play with lanterns. Oh well, we really had fun! Like challenging my bestie to see who throw sparkles higher onto the tree. The most exciting part was walking with bestie from Bukit Timah to Bukit Panjang! At last we made it! Legs super wobbly but we achieve it! It was a great bonding session!

I had a good dream, so vivid. I dreamt that for the first time he need me to accompany him. I went to find him at MacRitchie after his training. I went to find him even i skipped training. Sigh. I did i again. So much of trying to avoid him. He was very tired because he ran 12km so we wanted to slack at a place badly so we decided to catch a movie but in the end, all the movies all sold out. Wanted to catch The Smurfs or The Zookeeper but its either the movie too late or no slots so we went to his house to watch Horrible Bosses online and he cooked Italian food for dinner. And first time i was angry with him over a small incident. Haha. I really treasure the moments we had. Intimate ones. Will really miss those times when we would shop together in the supermarket, he would take a nap on my shoulder, grab me in the lift and give me a hug by the waist, sayang me while i rest on his chest. sigh. I'm so numb to him already.

Abandoned Railway

Wondering why am i here? Yes i came here for a personal photo shoot and thank God for a really willing expert photographer to do it for me for free even though he is so busy. He suggested this place at Clemeti Sunset Way to take some photos with good backgrounds. Might as well pay a visit to this dangerous spot when you can before it's closed down. You have to climb up a steep slope to this abandoned railway track. It was really scary to get on the bridge because there are no safety precautions and you are about three storey high and below it's a big drain and it was my bloody first time. The fear of walking the creaking planks was so overwhelming that no one could imagine. It was worse than any high elements stuff I have did before like Flying Fox and Abseiling. I have to overcome the heights and mustered all courage to move about on the bridge. At the end of the day, we still get some really nice shots! HEHE super excited and happy! Stay tuned to see the outcome! I'm definitely going back there for more great shots!

Heard that it is built by World War Two prisoners added more creeps to this area.

I want to travel around the world. Like always, i have been saying it over and over again for the past 3 years. Have i done it? No. I have not even step into my neighbour country, Malaysia. Hopefully, i can get to travel on my birthday. My biggest wish ever. I will be away before the birthday mayhem starts so that i can avoid socializing and entertaining. Hopefully by this October i can saved enough money to leave.

I desperately need a few pair of heels because i have NONE, heard that ? Not even a pair at home because usually a normal girl should have at least one pair. Lots of my outfits are needed to match with heels to be perfect. I want to collect at least 5 heels ( i prefer platform shoes) and 5 normal shoes like boots, flats and scandals. You know what? My guy friend won me by having 10 different pair of shoes. Birkenstocks is under my list but definitely not TOMs because i find them looked like beggar shoes. Great! Time for me to invest in some shoes!

Kite Resemble LIFE .

Life's ups and down's is like flying kite. It will go up and down as it all depends on the wind. And the wind represents the people around you like friends and family, the environment like job and school, circumstances, situation, ETC. All these factors cause you to be either sad or happy or whatever feeling. While i was trying to use my kite, it just couldn'y fly up the sky. Perhaps because it was my first try! :x I ran and ran around, hoping to catch the wind so that it will fly. But after awhile, it still can't fly, but i never give up by running and i hope this will reflect in my life that i will be persistent in anything when the going gets tough just like the kite not able to fly.

This was my first time flying kite with my shifu, Yan Qing at Marina Barrage on a thunderous and rainy day!^^

Today was a great day! after service, get to enjoy a fashion show at suntec! Aftermath, went to pennisula to find beanie with Aaron, Grace, KarJun for Jieren's bald head! Hahahahaha. Then head home to sleep! :)

Ordinary but yet different
Hmm.. i really admire a random girl on facebook. She's just a very ordinary girl. She got a little chubby face, eh not very chubby, small single eyelided eyes, very small dimples, her bffs are of different races, likes to take photos, likes to cover her eyes with fringe, just like meeee! Haha. But what so attractive about this girl is her SMILE! :) She just smile widely, not caring how her eyes look like when she smile that way or did she even smile with a double chin, unlike me, super conscious of my small eyes and fat face. Every photo she give her best smile with confidence which im really lack of. I really like her smile. And one more thing, she really smile as if she's saying'this is the way i am". She's so cute, bubbly, cheerful, confident. How i know? Bec i see how the way she wear her clothes which are all bright-coloured. I really hope i can be I really hope one day can know her in person because she just super look like me. HAHA! :)

Future

What is future? Future is it always the direction we are heading to? I don't know. For me honestly speaking, i am heading the opposite direction of my future. I'm not doing what i like, and what according my passion is. Perhaps im still discovering my REAL passion. Im searching for that kind of passion that will ignite in me like fire to get me going. Im like super envious of some friends who is able and capable to pursue their dream. Perhaps im not brave like them, to leave my comfort zone. Because i walked the typical way, polytecnic. I wanted interior design but i couldn't get into the two polys which provide interior design so the other alternative is NAFA and Lasalle. But im reluctant to take this route because im worried that i will leave my comfort zone because it's not a normal typical route after secondary school. How? What should i do? What has the future have install for me? I dont know what will happen to me in the coming future.

Fruitful

Today was a fruitful day! I get to spend time with my three other cg members after service. We went to sing KBOX though i really really dread to sing but i was persuaded to go along with them. But it was good bonding sesion afterall ! I became their DJ! I help them select songs but i got too carried away and i only select songs i like. HAHA sorry i forgot that i didnt sing. After Kbox-ing, we went to the esplanade waterfront to slack. Aftermath, i rushed to my Aunt's birthday party.

Irresitable

(In continuation of the mini marathon i had yesterday)
I have been rotting for the past few days at home and it had so-called become my routine. I kinda like this routine. Not stressful but not fruitful luh.

Eat pray love the movie had again arouse my feeling of wanting to travel again. Sigh. With the lack of funds, i can't even step into the land of my neighbouring country, Malaysia, let alone going to Australia which i have planned to go there within this year. Sigh.

I feel LIGHT today!~

At last i have the determination to get my butt out of the house to exercise. I was super lazy and i kept procrastinating. But after swimming more than 20 laps of the pool, I felt refreshed and satisfied with all that calories killed. It's quite funny that right after coming up the pool, i went to see myself in the mirror to see whether im like inflated anot but to my disappointment i still see a fat jacklyn. hahaha. But i really felt light with some of my burdens(fats) off my body in the knowledge that i put in effort to exercise. :D

Anyway You know, i have always wanted to have/organise a movie marathon with a couple of friends or with your loved ones to slack at one's house to catch it. Like its a overnight thing. I have never ever suceed in doing that so i decided to DIY at my own bedroom alone with my own laptop. It's kinda nice to have a so-called 'mini movie marathon' by yourself without any restrictions of different opinions in choosing the movie you wanna watch:)

Intended to jog but changed my mind to swim but it's like gonna rain so i slack at home. Then Dad barged into my room and ask whether wanna go visit grandma since Mei also free at home so went to visit grandma. Sigh...its another day my fats cling onto me. Eeek! Where's that DISCIPLINE i had when i was training for my crosscountry gone to ? Argh. Getting fatter another freaking day...

This post is meant to be on 9 march, my bff actual birthday. We went ikea(my favourite place) few days before 'D' day. On the actual day we went to catch the movie, 'No Strings Attached' at cineleisure:) I intended to bring her go Mint Museum which i plan for her as a special birthday celebration programme but didnt go in the end. Oh and i bought balloons to surprise her! She was like damn shy while holding the colourful balloons in Orchard Road. HAHA! Nice! :)

And i wanna apologise on the other hand for being so dead while celebrating because i was feeling super sick :( Sorry for that! :)

Today was a fruitful day! :) We visited airport terminal 3 as we have not been there for quite some time. BUT i'm quite suspicious of my parents, why would they decided to visit the airport out of the sudden? Hmm beats me. Anyway, we spent our lunch at the restaurant there, wow, they served great dim sum! Yum Yum:) Then we proceeded to Bayshore Park condo. We went to the apartment at 22nd storey. That's my aunt's boss house. The boss wanted her to check on that place and was lucky to be invited there! The scenery was spectacular! And it's scenery was even better then my house at panjang though i'm living higher than that floor. The place was overlooking east coast beach so it was quite breezy standing at the spacious balcony.
Aftermath, we went east coast park to eat dinner.
